Greetings,

The Adopt-A-School Program has been a staple in education program for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s brand for many years. We have seen this program grow from a seed into one of the most prominent programs in our wondrous band. It has benefitted the Fraternity in many aspects, such as:

• Formalizing a partnership between Sigma chapters and local schools.

• Empowering disadvantaged youth through programming, fundraising, and advocacy.

• Providing opportunities for short-term structured mentorship.

• Encouraging collaboration across Sigma’s four program areas (Sigma Beta Club, Bigger and Better Business, Social Action, and Education).

In order to assist our chapters in their Adopt-A-School program, we are offering $3,500 ($500 per region) of grant funding to assist in the cost of a program that they are currently executing or planning to execute at their Adopt-A-School. This application window begins on September 15 and will remain open until November 15, 2020. As you fill out the enclosed grant application, remember the purpose of this is providing a space to groom our youth to become productive and model citizens in your community. I look forward to seeing the amazing accomplishments that your chapter will present, centered on the innovative knowledge that you are pouring into our youth.
